Sites & The City
So. Who’s tired of Paris Hilton already? Here’s a a teeny tiny little hint.
Barely sprung from Rikers (which, incidentally, has better service than the last Hilton we stayed at), the trials and tribulations of Ms. Tinkerbell already rank #1 on our All-Time Snooze List.
However, since the unholy trifecta of US Weekly, In Touch & Perez still reign supreme, next time you go out, be prepared for such intellectually stimulating dinner conversation as, “Do you think Juicy Couture made her jumpsuit?” and “Is it possible to use a nail-file as a shiv?”
Sa-nooze. We were over it back when DUI’s and sex tapes were just a glimmer in her parent’s eyes.
So here to bring a lil’ spice back to dinner conversation, the Bogosse Boys have come up with a list of their all-time fave toys, sites, cities and the (actually) fabulous people who haunt them. Not a felon on the list.
At least, not yet.
PARIS/ST. TROPEZ:
Store (TIE): Deux les Halles / Trabud
Best Man & Woman: Vincent Cassell & Monica Bellucci

Impeccable star style and talent to boot? (Lohans & Richies take note) This couple is tres, tres chaud!
MIAMI:
Tech Gear: Donzi Boat (ZF 387sf/8+9)
As a new owner, Patrick can attest – this boat is faster than a starlet’s stay in rehab!

One of our fave stores. (And no, not just because we’re sold there.)

Hype or no hype – you know you want one.

An NYC must for hip, elegant men’s clothing.

Gives new meaning to the term super model. And a UN ambassador to boot.
Padma Lakshmi

Alright, so your husband (a lil’-known author named Salman Rushdie) wrote some of the most controversial and intellectually provocative books of all time. Big deal. Call us when you finally come to your senses.
TOKYO:
Best Man: Ken Watanabe

Great actor. International movie star.
Best Woman: Rinko Kikuchi – Oscar-nominated star of “Babel”

Saved “Babble”, sorry Babel, from being a self-indulgent mess. And she barely uttered a word.

OR, you could always settle for this:

Your call.
Got fave places, sites and people of your own? We’d love to hear them.

There are worse ways to spend a weekend then meeting n’ greeting with some of the top creative directors in the fashion world (and at least one confirmed billionaire. See pic below.)

And that’s just what the Brothers Tardieu did when they were invited to take part in the DNR Summit at the Four Seasons Miami on May 4th.
DNR has always been the industry trade mag for mens fashion, and the panel of luminaries on hand reflected that. Among the distinguished guests, were Robert Hanson, president of Levi’s and Levi’s brand division and Greg Norman, creative director of Ermenegildo Zegna. Pat and Fab were most impressed by the arbiters of mens fashion who retained charming, even hilarious anti-corporate personalities despite their high ranking profiles. Kean Etro, creative director of the ever-splashy and colorful Etro men’s collection, was a true bon vivant who impressed the brothers with his hip personality and original flair. Also on hand was the irrepressible Simon Doonan, creative director of Barney’s iconic window displays, and now acclaimed writer. Pat and Fab were instantly charmed by Simon’s boundless sense of humor, and how his creative vision, wit and personality are so effortessly merged.

The summit was a great success, and Pat and Fab were honored to be amongst such distinctive guests.
The fun didn’t end there though.

Patrick was honored at the beautiful Carnival Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, a state of the art opera house which was the site of the Haitian Jazz Festival. On top of the standing ovation he received from Haitian soccer fans, Pat also hung out with Wyclef Jean (a Bogosse fan) who slipped him his digits so that they could meet up while in NY. A Wyclef/Bogosse collabo of fashion and music on the horizon?
Stay tuned…

What’s better than a new issue of Rolling Stone magazine hot off the presses?

A new issue of Rolling Stone magazine hot off the presses – with Bogosse featured inside!

That’s right rock stars (aspiring and actual). The Bible for all things rock n’ roll, hip n’ hop – has crowned Bogosse as one of their new Must-Have’s for the Year!
The Brothers Tardieu could not be more excited to “Break on Through to the Other Side”. (Apologies, Mr. Morrison.)
Also check out this online interview from Fashionledge.com and props from Faubourg Saint-Honore a hot men’s style site based en Francais.
And for all you “Project Runway” fanatics (and come on, who’s not?!), Tim Gunn of “Make it Work” fame invited the Bogosse Boys to serve as Jurors for the Parsons School of Design Senior Year Thesis Collection Review.
Although Tim was not, alas, in attendance – the always gracious and lovely Carmela Spinelli, Associate Chair Dept. of Fashion, handled the proceedings with great aplomb and dedication to her students (or “her children”, as she calls them proudly.)
Pat and Fab had great fun dishing out their expertise among a distinguished panel of designers and editors, including: famed fashion photographer Roderick Angle (Black Book, Citizen K, Details), Michael Malko (Men’s Fashion Director Saks Fifth Avenue) and infamous Style Dandy Patrick McDonald.

Bogosse: “The Chosen”.

Gen Art was the first to recognize world-famous trendsetters Zac Posen, Rebecca Taylor and Chaiken.
Now they have recognized Bogosse.
On Sunday March 31st, Bogosse models walked the runway of Gen Art Miami’s Fresh Faces as the exclusive men’s designers, with not only the finest shirts, but jackets and pants – the whole nine. The shoes were generously provided by ALDO, and had the models literally walking on water. (The runway was dramatically constructed over the pool.)

Miami Nights.com said about the show:
“My favorite designer out of the bunch was Bogosse. Finally a line of men’s clothing that kicks it back to the old Don Johnson/Miami Vice era. I dig a man in pastels and they were all over the Bogosse runway.”
The fashionistas at Cooljunkie.com and Socialdiva.com also covered the Gen Art event! And if that weren’t exciting enough, we also rubbed shoulders with the beautiful NY girl-about-town and Gen Art supporter, Tinsley Mortimer. And the ever lovely, Emmy-winning journalist Belkys Nerey of Miami’s WSVN was also on hand for the festivities.
Check out the other fabulous faces backstage and partying at this year’s Gen Art.

Vital lifetsyle tips from the Bogosse Boys. Patrick’s Top Ten Favorite New Spots in Ten Cities, and a quickie Email Tip to spice up internet chat.
Paris: Just walking along the Champs-Elysees and entering Virgin Mega Store for books & music!
New York: Dinner at Buddha Bar, my favorite! SLURP!
Miami: A strawberry Caipiroska on the Segafredo terrace any given Sunday afternoon, after I’ve spent the day on my boat!
Dominican Republic: A resort in Punta Cana. Admittedly, I’m not altogether original in my exotic places, just a typical tourist. As Voltaire would say: “J’aime le luxe et la mollesse…” I must have my 21st century comfort.
St-Barts: Any little restaurant at the port of St-Barts. If they’re all closed, then Nikki Beach to support my friend Eric, and of course, enjoy the vibe there.
Los Angeles: The Ivy restaurant. But gotta be out on the terrace! (With no paparazzi shooting pictures from the outside!)
Sao-Paolo, Brazil: A little lost province outside of Sao Paolo called Vinedo. Had the craziest adventure there with the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen! And excuse me…neither of us spoke each other’s language. Lots of gestures. Lots of gestures!
Buenos-Aires, Argentina : La cancha de Boca Juniors!
Montreal: My sister’s house, surrounded by my godson, nephew & neice.
Greece: Ios, Paros, Santorini.
** Fabrice’s Travel Tips Coming Soon… (Too busy traveling to write them!)
Patrick’s Suave Email Tip: Never write a boring “Ha Ha Ha”, or woefully overused “LOL” to underscore something funny. Rather, do as Patrick does: Go for the little used, “AH! AH! AH!” It is a richer, more exclusive and flavorful expression for sure. Try it for yourself, and see the response.
AH! AH! AH!

Why a Bogosse Blog?
Why a “Bogosse Blog” you ask? Six + reasons:

1) New Habits: We’re actually too busy playing (and working, of course) to read blogs, but our publicist insisted that we have one.
2) Open up, speak, share your deep thoughts = Meet gorgeous women who love men that open up, speak and share their deep thoughts. (see as per above)
3) There aren’t enough good forums for men of style and taste online. Go ahead, name one. We dare you.
4) We want the world to wear Bogosse (naturally).
5) We love Ultra-Bogosse places, people, cars, homes and gear.
6) There’s always room at the party.
